I've known Ashley for almost 10 years now - which is crazy to me when I think about it. She and her family are some of the kindest, most generous people I know and I am so grateful to them for so many reasons. Family is something that I value above almost all things and I'm happy to be able to claim Ashley as part of our family for the love that she has shown us over the past years.
I hadn't seen Ashley for a bit when I met up with her and Ryan a few weeks ago. Before writing this, I spent some time thinking about how much Ashley has changed since the last time I was with her - she is radiant, confident, and so, so, happy. I'd love to be cliche and say that love looks beautiful on her (and it certainly does), but it's definitely much more than that. Her radiance, I'm sure, is from blazing her own path as a woman on a mission, succeeding in her professional life and reaching higher every day to meet new goals, moving to a new city and finding new friends, and finding a natural confidence. Ryan being so obviously and completely in love with her is just the icing on the cake.
Oh, and I can't forget to mention Ryan and how incredibly kind and generous he is. And even more, on top of the wonderful guy that Ashley has managed to snag for her forever love story - just wait till you see their pup, Tucker. I'm all heart eyes for that little guy!
We spent about 3 hours together for their engagement session and it was so easy to photograph Ashley and Ryan. They are easy-going and up for anything. Not to mention, Rochester Hills' Van Hoosen Farm is a beautiful location for a session, and with so much variety! Next August seems far away now, but I'm sure it will pop up quickly, before we even know it. I absolutely cannot wait to spend the day with Ashley and Ryan on the day they get married. Ohio, here I come! (I don't have to say, "Go Buckeyes!"....do I?)
