Spring is for New Beginnings

If you don't already know - I apparently lead a pretty busy life. Now, this is completely and totally unwillingly...give me a couch, a good book and a glass of wine and I'll be set for days, no exaggeration. The things that bring me the most joy seemed to have taken a back seat to the daily grind and I'm just not ok with that anymore. Two kids, a husband, a dog, a full time job, a part time job (from the comfort of my home, thank goodness), and a budding photography business have me strapped for time and it's the full time job that takes up the most time of all of it! Does anyone else ever feel like they are just pushing away their dreams and desires because of a stinking 9-5? EVERYONE?! Yeah, that's what I thought. Anyway, I'm hoping that getting my photography blog up and running again will spark a little light back into my life. Plus, I read somewhere that it might boost traffic to my site - so what the hey! Let's do it.

I thought really, really hard about a couple things: 1. Trashing my whole blog and starting fresh. New year, new me, new content. 2. Re-editing and re-organizing all of my past blog posts before making it active again so that my past work looks better. Now, I don't know about you, but seeing as how my life is, uh, crazy (see above), I just don't have the time to re-do everything. Plus, how would anyone know where I've come from and where I'm going? It makes me so happy to see my own growth over the years and the images that come from each session just seem to keep getting better and better. And that first option? Trashing the whole thing and starting right here, right now? It's appealing, but like I said, I don't want to just seem like I popped up out of nowhere. I've taught myself a lot over the past years and even if some things are rough, I want YOU to see how far I've come as well. Because at the end of the day, my past tells me these things:

1. I can do hard things.

2. I can make other people happy.

3. I can make myself happy by doing what I love.

And those things are all I need to know.

I'm so excited to share what I've been up to since my last blog post...erm...over 2 years ago. I'd love to tell you what my blog post schedule is, but thought I'd just keep you on your toes. You know, for fun.

Oh, and here's a little bit of the crazy that I'm so completely and totally in love with - gotta go before they tear my house down!
